An <i>Asphodelus ramosus</i> dominated plant community in Montenegro

Our phytosociological study in Montenegro (Ćemovsko polje) deals with the syntaxonomy of arid grasslands Adriatic region and, particular, different interpretations plant communities dominated by Asphodelus ramosus . The main aims this were to contribute knowledge composition dry and compare instances vegetation along Adriatic. dataset included 82 relevés: 17 from our recent field work 72 relevés South European communities. Ordination analysis (NMDS) was used for comparison region. community classified into Bromo erecti-Chrysopogonetum grylli revealed two distinct groups: grassland class Festuco-Brometea Montenegro, Croatia Albania, edge new Charybdido pancratii-Asphodeletea ramosi Italy. Comparison similar types shows high similarity associations on eastern coast, where they are treated as belonging alliance Chrysopogono grylli-Koelerion splendentis , order Scorzoneretalia villosae Festuco - Brometea
